Father of History

Herodotus

Herodotus was a historian by occupation. Lyxes and Dryotus were his parents. Theodorus was his brother. Only a few of his works are survived till date. His earliest work is Greek prose. By the account of many tales and strange stories, critics have reported him as a father of lies.

Once a modern scholar has wondered that ever Herodotus has left his home because his own countrymen are opposing to his stories or words. As a part of an Athenian-sponsored colony, he migrated to Thurium in 443 BC.

From a version of a book written by Herodotus, Aristotle told that he traveled to southern Italy because it resembles like Herodotus wrote his personal experience. It might be possible that he had died with plague disease before his sixtieth year because there was no intimation about his moves or any data regarding him or about any of his works. Sometimes the readability of his writings about Egypt was criticized.

History is nothing but our ancestor's achievements, pride, and what Earth has hidden for us and many inventions and discoveries. It is generalized as the study of past written in books by people who live in that age so that it can be helpful to future to know about the past.

Prehistory:

Prehistory is nothing but the events occurred before written record. History is also used to examine a sequence of past events. This is also useful to determine the patterns of cause and effect that determine them.

Usually, cultural heritage or legends are classified by a particular culture but not by external sources. All of their works worked are the foundations of modern society. This word history came from the ancient Greek word which means inquiry or inquiry.
